Ausdane Alpacas

My husband Jorgen and I fell in love with Alpacas in 2000 , when we purchased our first three alpacas from a local farm. We enjoyed these wonderful inquisitive animals and their unique and gentle natures. After these three went from our lives, we knew that we wanted more of these beautiful creatures, so we purchased some  females and a gorgeous black and white male.named Salvadore Dali.

Within a year , our first cria were born , and we were enchanted. Thus began our long journey in the alpaca industry.

In the early days , we had mainly unregistered animals. We decided to take the plunge and became members of the Australian Alpaca Association.

Now we needed a name.

I was Australian , Jorgen was Danish.

Thus, AUSDANE was born.

Sadly , Jorgen died from cancer on 8th November 2017.

His hard work and legacy will live on as Ausdane continues as a much loved dream come true.

His spirit will live on and oversee our venture.
